Ciheb Zambia at the 24th International AIDS Conference in Montreal, Canada
The 24th International AIDS Conference, hosted by the International AIDS Society, was held from July 29 to August 2, 2022. The conference, which was held in Montreal, Canada and virtually, featured presentations on basic and translational science, clinical findings, epidemiology, prevention, social and behavioral science, systems and synergies with other health sectors, and policy impacts.
Ciheb was represented at the conference through poster presentations and panel discussions. Linah Kampilimba-Mwango of Ciheb Zambia took part in a panel discussion on the conference's opening day.
The Government of Botswana and the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) marked the start of the conference at an invited press conference by sharing the monumental results of the Botswana AIDS Impact Survey V (BAIS V). This is the first population-based survey to confirm achievement of UNAIDS 95-95-95 treatment goal in sub-Saharan Africa.
